Pacquiao is more eager to face Marquez

Manny Pacquiao is even more eager to face Juan Manuel Marquez and he can’t wait to get his hands on Marquez for their much-awaited third act in November 12 the Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 or trilogy. WBO welterweight champion Pacquiao said the 37-year-old Marquez has no chance of beating him when they meet again in Las Vegas. Four years later, the two crossed paths again with both fighters jockeying for supremacy. The judges ruled in favor of Pacquiao, although in a one-point split decision. The big question that looms over the prized fight is if Marquez can handle the
pressure of winning over Pacquiao’s lightning speed and power punches. Four years on from their last fight which was at super featherweight, Marquez is expecting a different challenge this time around. Pacquiao acknowledged Marquez as a "really strong fighter."

Of all the opponents Pacquiao have fought, Marquez is the only one who was able to anticipate Pacquiao moves and effectively counter most of them not unlike a chess match; but instead of exchanging pieces, they exchange punches. Since losing his World Boxing Council (WBC) super featherweight championship belt to Pacquiao in 2008, Marquez, meanwhile, has won five of his last six fights. To guarantee that his third fight with Pacquiao won’t be decided by the judges, Marquez, the current World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) lightweight champion, intends on doing the near impossible and knock out the 32-year-old pound-for-pound king, which nobody has ever done in years.

The Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 will go down as one of the most competitive rivalries in boxing history. In boxing there always seems to be that one fighter who has another great fighters number, in this case it’s Marquez who seems to have Pacquiao all figured out and gives him his toughest fights.
